Sweet classics.
October: Kanelbullar

Kanelbullar are a Swedish baked goods speciality. They were introduced in the 1920s, when, after the First World War, the availability of baking ingredients increased, and nowadays belong to the most well-known and best-loved baked goods in Sweden.

Kanelbullar are made from a rich confectionery yeast dough which contains more than 400 g sugar and butter per litre dough liquid. Sometimes they are spiced with cardamom. Tasty fillings, made from marzipan, sugar and a lot of aromatic cinnamon, make the Kanelbullar especially delicious.

They therefore belong to each coffee time and are the favourite baked goods of many children, who mostly enjoy them together with a glass of milk.
