In Romania, Cozonac are traditional baked goods for public holidays, mainly prepared at Christmas, New Year and Easter.

Depending on the region, the recipes and shapes are different. Very widespread is a version with a filling of nuts and candied fruits which is rolled into a spiral shape.

Cozonac are softly tender and aromatic baked goods. They are normally served cold. But it is difficult for most people to resist the delicious aroma of freshly baked Cozonac before they have cooled completely!
