(and Wholesaler) Branded Food ProductsThe International Food Standard, IFS for short, was defined in 2002 and 2003 by representatives of the German and French food trade. It originates from the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) which was created in the year 2000 to improve food safety. 
| | The International Food Standard is directed at all those producing companies within the food sector which manufacture branded food products for the food trade, and constitutes a quality management and risk management system specifically for food products. To be able to offer the best support possible for our customers as a partner for the food trade in this sector as well, IREKS is certified according to the IFS. IREKS fulfils the criteria of the Higher Level of the IFS, Version 5. This certification also makes clear that IREKS is constantly committed to the highest possible product quality and food safety.
