  | | | Sweet classics. March: Pinza
| | Pinza are typical baked goods at Easter in Italy. According to the old tradition, Pinza are taken to Church on Easter Sunday, where they are blessed by the priest. These yeast-raised confectionery baked goods are particularly light, moist and tender. Flavourings of lemon zest and vanilla make the Pinza so delicious. Using scissors, the upper surface of the dough is cut into three parts in the centre before baking. This division of the flat dough into three has a Christian relevance. It symbolises the Trinity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Similar baked goods can also be found in Austria and Switzerland. Are you interested in a processing recipe?
