Gold certificate for long-standing commitment to the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact

IREKS has been honoured with the Gold Certificate of the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact for its many years of commitment. Bavarian Environment Minister Thorsten Glauber presented the award at the Ronhof Stadium in Fürth to Dr Mathias Warwel and Rupert Geiger, who accepted it on behalf of the company.

This gold certificate is exclusively awarded to companies that have participated in the Bavarian Ministry of the Environment’s initiative at least five times in a row. IREKS is one of around 60 companies that were honoured for their commitment in 2024.

IREKS has been an active participant in the project, which successfully combines economy and ecology, since 2007. The company is contributing to a more environmentally friendly Bavaria with a variety of measures, demonstrating how sustainable projects can be implemented in the baking ingredients industry. IREKS’ membership of the Environmental and Climate Pact was recently extended until 2026..

Thorsten Glauber emphasised the importance of commitment in his speech: “The participants in the Environmental and Climate Pact are making a valuable contribution to an environmentally friendly Bavaria: With reusable concepts for less packaging waste, with LED lighting for less energy consumption or with photovoltaic systems for green electricity. The companies show that innovative environmental protection is possible across all sectors and company sizes. They are flagships and ambassadors for sustainable business.”

The award underlines IREKS’ ongoing commitment to environmental protection and sustainable corporate management and confirms the relevance of responsible behaviour in the industry.
