“Hot crosses” for Easter

This year for Easter, we have a typical British piece of baked goods for you: hot cross buns. The compound-baked soft rolls with sultanas and spices are traditionally prepared on Good Friday and eaten during Easter brunch. In the past, it was prohibited to consume them outside of the holidays! Today, people no longer take such a narrow view on it, but they still remain a typical Easter treat.

Why not put something new next to your bunnies and Easter plaits for a change? For happy gatherings among friends and family, hot cross buns are perfect to share or use as an accompaniment for the first spring picnic. Sharing is caring!
