Company tours for employees at IREKS

No matter whether you have been a member of the IREKS family for a month, a year or decades – a tour of the company premises is always worthwhile. Because we at IREKS are continuously working on the expansion of our competences, a lot has been done and further developed at the headquarters in Kulmbach in recent years. In order to give IREKS staff from all departments a deeper insight into newly created areas, several company tours were held in June especially for employees.

In 2019, we were able to open our brewhouse for the resource-saving production of malt extracts. Last year, the new IREKS Technical Centre including the Research Technical Centre in the IQ area went into operation and just recently the expansion of the IREKS Baking Academy was completed. So there is quite a lot going on!

Those who wanted to find out more about what is actually happening in the various buildings had the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes as part of a company tour day for employees.

And many were keen to do so! More than 100 employees from all divisions were interested in the company tours. After a brief welcoming and introduction by the IREKS Management, represented by Dr Sabine Krätzschmar and Dr Mathias Warwel, the tour continued – divided into groups – alternating between the brewhouse, the IREKS Technical Centre and the IREKS Baking Academy.

In this realm,the employees were given in-depth insights into the premises and processes, which our experts from the respective areas described with passion and in a very vivid way. Afterwards, many colleagues took the opportunity to exchange ideas and network over a snack in the IREKS bistro “BrotZeit”.
